I have a grey t-shirt that says “LAZY” on it. It is ironic when I wear it.
No, not because I’m wearing a shirt that says lazy when in actual fact, I’m a decent, hard-working person.
It’s ironic because I wear this shirt in full knowledge that it was intended to be ironically worn by someone who is very motivated and hard-working but despite that knowledge, I continue to be lazy.
This is another example of why you will always lose when trying to define irony.
