Sony Ericsson K790 Review

BUY IT.

Shut up and buy it

Reasons not to buy it:

  • You can’t afford it
  • You don’t take photos with your phone
  • You don’t use internet features on your phone
  • You need a phone with a button for each letter of the alphabet

I can’t afford it. I don’t take photos with my phone. Although I might. Of course I don’t use internet on my phone. Why would I?

What internet features? I’m mostly curious because I can’t use the ones on mine without paying ludicrous amounts.

I have things like GMail, Google Maps and Opera Mini installed. Google Maps has been a real awesomeboat because I am in a new city and I never have to feel lost as long as I have some hint to my current location.

Also. T-Mobile gives you unlimited GPRS (dial-up speeds) for only $5/month. Frankly, I don’t know how they do it but I’m sure getting my money’s wroth. Just yesterday, I setup my phone as a bluetooth modem so now I get unlimited dial-up internet on my laptop as long as I’m in range of a mobile phone tower. It really is the bee’s pajamas.

yeah, that would be a decent deal - 3 has $5/mo for 20mb, albeit at closer to broadband speeds (it’s UTMS-based, but I don’t know the name of the net technology underneath it) - and 20mb would go fast, I think… so yeah, you got it good.

Comments are off (unless you ask nicely).
