“Livingstone has also proposed charging owners of 4×4s - nicknamed ‘Chelsea tractors,’ as many are seen in that chic west London suburb - 25 pounds a day for the congestion charge.” Holy crap, that’s expensive but maybe it’s needed to change minds.

It turns out Batman did actually dance and The Simpsons weren’t just making it up.

A review of Joe Bar. Sometimes I wonder if all the action is going on in Capitol Hill.

Traffic in London when I was here last year wasn’t as bad as it is now - it seems like despite increasing the coverage of the congestion zone, everyone’s just adjusting to paying that charge (or getting their companies to pay). I don’t think this will have a huge impact, however - most of the cars are small anyway, because the 4WDs don’t fit into car parking slots as is.
SUVs don’t really fit into parking spots over here but people park anyway.
It’s a funny situation at work where there is a large number of “compact” spaces provided to well-paid people who live in the suburbs, many of whom have young children.
