So I spent a lot of last night screwing around with a cable that I ordered over the internet. What sort of cable demands this sort of attention? A cable that lets me plug my guitar straight into my laptop without the added interference of adapters.
Incidentally, I found this cable for cheap on the manufacturer’s website. They undercut both the price at the Apple store and on Amazon. On top of that I manage to google up some promotional code and save another 5%. All in all, I paid about half as much as I would have at the Apple store.
Anyway I woke up this morning and decided not to rush to work. Instead, I recorded about a minute of myself playing guitar (a single take, so don’t expect a lot) and then tweaked it a tiny tiny bit with Audacity. If the guitar sounds kind of weird to you, it’s because I ran it through one of Garage Band’s filters so it wouldn’t be obvious that this is a very cheap and very mistreated electric guitar.
