Running Errands
Tue, 06 Nov 2007.
This morning I have errands to run. It’s fucking ridiculous but ever since I moved out and started living on my own and being all independent, I have to “run errands”. It’s not even a euphemism for masturbation or something, I literally have to go out and do things like banking, exchanging purchases, and other mundane things that I would rather do online but can only be done in person.
Hrm.
Rewind to the part where I said “independent”… Holy shit, I really am independent. I have a job, an apartment and none of my parent’s money (not that they have much, the universities have all their money now).
So things left to do before I fly:
- exchange this power adapter that Radioshack sold me for one that I actually want
- convert some dollars into yen (and pay $50 for the privilege)
- pick up Japan Rail passes for Fay, Studds, and Marlene
- do a load of laundry so I can finish packing
- print off travel documents
- finishing very urgent thing at work
Here’s a tip: don’t ever promise your boss you’ll get something done before a vacation.

So, if ‘running an errand’ isn’t euphemism for masturbation, what is?
lol …i laughed at the reference… people in the student room looked at me funny. Thanks a lot, jack. Now i look crazy… THANKS :(
It turns out the power adapter was unnecessary! Japan uses the same plugs as America! YAY FOR FREEDOMTOWN.
Geraldine, you may not look crazy but you are crazy. I just saved those people some time in sizing you up.
Japan doesn’t have the earth plug, I think, so watch out.
Also, Japan is crazy town - half of it uses 125V/50Hz, the other half uses 110V/60Hz. Most things should run fine still, though.
Or rather, as Wikipedia says.
