The album getting the most spins BY FAR this month is The Beatles - Love. This is the first time I’ve really sat down and listened to The Beatles and its just jaw-droppingly good.
Love was actually released in late 2006 and it was created to be a soundtrack to some Cirque du Soleil show. It’s just beautifully mixed together all of The Beatles’ most familiar hits with samples from their more obscure recordings. It’s the same songs you’ve always heard but in stunning quality with a fresh interpretation. I found this album to be mind-blowing but it might offend the purists somewhat.
You may have to take my review with a certain grain of salt because I’m practically discovering The Beatles for the first time (shut up, I’m young and ignorant).
