Delurking 2008

In today’s crazy anarchist news, it’s National Delurking Week or perhaps it was Delurking Day or something along those lines. A good googling brings up no organization that is committed to generating awareness of this campaign or providing cute/terrible little link buttons for people to paste on to their blogs.
In summation: the perpetrators behind this delurking occasion of 2008 are themselves lurking. This is a puppet regime. A long, sinister snake of a conspiracy where the head remains thoroughly hidden in the undergrowth. If we subscribe to the philosophy of “he who smelt it, dealt it,” then the only conclusion is that everyone who blogged about the delurking are themselves the original instigator of this movement. Or, perhaps, the person with the oldest blog post is the Grand Poobah of the delurking.
Either way, I wash my hands of it. To all those that lurk on my site, waiting in the sidelines and gathering intelligence, I must ask you to stay hidden. It is too dangerous to come out now. Remain in the shadows and continue to monitor my site like tape recorders behind a one-way mirror.
When it is time to show your face, I will give you a sign.
