“A friend, eating at some hip restaurant in Belltown when they spotted BOTH McDreamy and McSteamy at a nearby table.” Omgomgomg hot middle-aged pretend doctors eating overpriced seafood. Delicious!

Looking at the winners of Best Picture, I can’t help but feel how big an injustice the Oscars can be. It’s cruel to pick only one film of the each year.

Absolutely agree. I remember some code cranked out by first year programmers and the indentation was absolutely random. It was a pretty accurate reflection of how they had the ideas arranged in their heads.

Here is your dose of Japanese school girls for the day. This one is arty but there’s plenty of creepy preverted shit if you know how to trawl through flickr.

Our first year tutors enforced at the very least having K&R style on our code. I can’t stand code that isn’t properly indented - I update code others in my team have written just because the whitespace is off - “formatting update” is one of my favourite CVS check-in comments :)
I try to stop myself from doing that. Style guide is something that needs to be agreed on in advance if not formalized. It’s the year 2008 now and it feels ridiculous to futz around with whitespace. If someone’s code is unreadable, I’m tempted just to bug them until they fix it or stand behind me and explain it to me.
