Apple now gets their share of iPhone money upfront rather than monthly. This falls in line with the established profit-sharing model. Apple now could care less if you unlock your iPhone because they got their share of the take when you bought it.

I am surprised at how much of this stuff I kept up with. After the dust settles in November, we’ll all forget any of this crap ever happened and half the country will celebrate the new president whilst the other half tremble in fear.
