Rest in peace, “Fatso”.
Awesome.
Seeing this video without context, I’d write it off as more unbridled obsession with cats manifesting itself on the internet.
But what people of YouTube have done with the cat is transform this evidence of “I love my cat too much” into a meme, like a cheesy recurring bit on a late night talk show that is totally predictable but you laugh because there’s this absence of a strong punchline. It’s the same sense of familiarity and inevitability that keeps us glued to so many television shows.
